CHIEFS RUGBY CLUB

Never Played? No Problem. Everyone Plays. No try outs.

Ready to run, tackle, score and discover your new favorite sport? Rugby combines the speed of soccer, the toughness of football and wrestling, and the quick passing and teamwork of lacrosse and flag football—all in one action-packed game! Boys and girls from U6 through high school seniors can choose non-contact touch or contact tackle rugby, with no tryouts, no experience needed and a place for everyone to play. Best of all, rugby is a lifetime sport that can be enjoyed long after high school and college, with opportunities to keep playing, coaching and refereeing well into adulthood. Build confidence, fitness and friendships during indoor winter practices, then take the excitement outdoors for the spring season. At just $125–$350—including your jersey and shorts—rugby is one of the most affordable youth sports around. Just bring cleats, socks, a mouthguard and your game face—it’s time to discover what you’re capable of!

WELCOME TO OUR CHIEFS RUGBY CLUB FAMILY!

The Chiefs Rugby Club was originally the Waubonsie Valley Rugby Football Club, founded at Waubonsie Valley High School in 2007.

Over the years as the team grew, we started taking in players from Metea Valley High School, Oswego High School and Oswego East High School. Then in 2012, we added a Middle School team.
In 2014 as we grew further, we rebranded to become the Chiefs Rugby Club, with all teams playing under one name. We now boast High School Boys, High School Girls, Middle School and Elementary Rookie Rugby (non contact) teams.
We pride ourselves in delivering a quality rugby program while fostering the World Rugby values of Integrity, Discipline, Respect, Passion and Solidarity with the added All Blacks guide to being successful on and off the pitch.
